Post industrial and post consumer waste, including pop bottles (P.E.T.), is ground up and melted into plastic chips from which new fibers are extruded and then spun into yarns. The yarn is 100% recycled which provides huge benefits to the earth and the environment:
* All this recycled waste, including millions of pop bottles, is saved from going into our landfills.
* As a result of the manufacturing and handling processes that are eliminated in the production of recycled fleece, every product using Repreve® yarn conserves petroleum-based resources by offsetting the need to produce virgin polyester.
* On average every pound of Repreve® polyester yarn conserves the equivalent of half a gallon of gasoline.
